“WORK WITH COMMUNITY AND INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS” LABORATORY

This time the Laboratory is taking place in Petrozavodsk from 14th till 18th February, 2011. Laboratory includes “Future city” game and a project laboratory, dedicated to socio-cultural projects within international integration and work with communities. Project Laboratory will introduce best practices and teach to convert knowledge into practice with the help of project technologies.

 “WORK WITH COMMUNITY AND INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS” LABORATORY

Petrozavodsk, 13-18 February, 2011

This time the Laboratory is taking place in Petrozavodsk  from 14th  till 18th February, 2011. Laboratory includes “Future city” game  and a project laboratory, dedicated to socio-cultural projects within international integration and work with communities. Project Laboratory will introduce best practices and teach to convert knowledge into practice with the help of project  technologies.

Lab programme:

  •  Two-day “Future city”  game held by British Council (The UK) within Creative Cities project will take place at The KIZHI state open-air museum  Presentation of projects will take place at “Vykhod” media Centre (14, Marks prospect, Petrozavodsk) 
  • Public lectures and master classes by leading both Russian and foreign experts dedicated to creative economy and creative industries, Russian and foreign experience of cultural projects, cultural exchanges, the role of creative communities in urban development
  • Work in groups of participants and new projects creation.

The final event of the Laboratory will include the presentation of its results and will take place at  “Vykhod”  Media Center  of The center for cultural initiatives. The projects developed during the game on the base of Russian and European professional experience will be possibly included into the city plan and get further support.  One more important aspect of the game is the community engagement into project making and raising of the creativity among the city developers.

We welcome the representatives of the governmental and non-governmental organizations, members of the business companies, cultural foundations, creative individuals and active local people to take part in the Laboratory.
