CULTURE, ECONOMY AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT - from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad

September 9-10, 2011. In Vladivostok in the framework of the Fifth Pacific Economic Congress a session "Common cultural space and the role of Russia" took place.

Director of "Creative Industries» Agency Elena Zelentsova conducted the session. In the framework of the session the issue of creation of a global cultural space which is formed by the inclusion of intellectual and creative products in the contemporary cultural markets were  discussed.
 

September 13.  Within the project "The development of creative industries in Kaliningrad region" a conference "Creative industries as a driving force of economic and social development: European experience and opportunities for the Kaliningrad region" is taking place. Elena Zelentsova, director of "Creative Industries» Agency, will talk about projects on mapping creative industries in Russia.

September 22-24. Interra, Youth Innovation Forum in Siberia, to take place in Novosibirsk ". Director of "Creative Industries" Agency Elena Zelentsova is going to lead a discussion forum "Creativity as a resource". The discussion will be attended by leading Russian and foreign experts: John Howkins   author of "Creative Economy"), Charles Landry  (a specialist in urban development), Simon Evans  (Director of the International Conference "Creative Clusters"), Dmitry Milkov (president of the Center for Creative industries), Maxim Rumyantsev  (Director of Institute for Humanities of the Siberian Federal University) and others. Within the Forum a public lecture by Zelentsova is announced. The access to the Forum is free.
